Employee Benefits

Access Community Health Centers employees who have an employment status of 20 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits. Below is a summary of Access Community Health Centers benefits. Combined Time Off

Combined time off is used when you are taking time off for vacation, illness of yourself or family members, or personal time off. Combined Time Off may accrue up to 1.5 times your annual CTO accrual rate, carrying those earned hours from year to year.

Time off is accrued at the following rate for full time employees and is pro-rated according to FTE for part time staff:

Personal holiday (1 day if employed on or before July 1st per calendar year)

Health Insurance

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week may enroll in Access Community Health Centers sponsored health insurance. Access Community Health Centers pays 80 percent of Single and Family Plan coverage. Plans are currently with Group Health Cooperative and Physicians Plus. Employees are eligible for health insurance the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is available to all employees scheduled to work regularly 20 or more hours per week. Premiums are paid 60 percent by Access Community Health Centers. Employees are eligible for dental insurance the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Life Insurance

Provide life insurance equal to 1 times annual salary to employees regularly working 20 or more hours per week.

Disability Insurance

Provide 100 percent employer paid short and long term disability insurance coverage to employees regularly working 20 or more hours per week. Reimbursement for short term disability is at 66 2/3 percent and long term disability is at 60 percent reimbursement.

125 Plan

Employees are eligible to set aside pretax dollars for out-of-pocket medical expenses dependent care, and health and dental insurance premiums through a payroll deduction program. There is a $2,000 medical expense maximum and $5,000 dependent care expense per calendar year.

Retirement Plan

Employees are eligible to participate in a retirement plan which allows you to set aside funds before taxes for retirement. The first 1-3 percent employee deferral is matched 100 percent by Access Community Health Centers, 4 percent employee deferral is matched by Access Community Health Centers at 3.5 percent, and 5 percent employee deferral is matched at 4 percent by Access Community Health Centers. Four percent is the maximum match paid by Access Community Health Centers at this time. Employee is vested 100 percent from day one.

Tuition Reimbursement

Full or part time status employees are eligible for Tuition Reimbursement up to $1000 per calendar year for classes or degreed programs relevant to the employee’s current job or a job that is offered by ACHC. Employee must be employed for six months to be eligible for this benefit.
